Key points
- The API lets your own software send RCS messages automatically.
- Every message uses a template that has been approved first.
- Delivery reports and template approval updates come back to your system.
- API access is set up for onboarded customers. Request access to get started.
Panel or API?
Most businesses start with the customer panel: upload a list, pick a template and send. The API is for when you want your own software to send messages without anyone logging in, for example an order confirmation the moment a customer pays, or a reminder the day before an appointment.
How it fits together
- Design a template. A template is the fixed design of a message: text, a rich card or a carousel, with buttons. Parts that change for each customer, such as a name or order number, are filled in when the message is sent. Templates are approved before use.
- Your system sends. When something happens in your CRM or app, it asks our platform to send the approved template to the customer.
- You hear back. Delivery reports and template approval updates are sent back to your system, so you always know what was delivered.
What you need
- An approved RCS business account with us.
- A developer or IT partner who can connect your software.
- An address on your server where delivery updates can be received.
Getting access
API access is provided to onboarded customers. Our team shares the technical guide and credentials securely with your developer during onboarding. Request API access to get started, or talk to us if you are not sure whether the panel or the API suits you best.
